A 675,000 sq ft warehouse for John Lewis has been announced for Magna Park Milton Keynes as part of a deal with global developer Gazeley.

Gazeley, the leading developer of warehouses and distribution parks, has announced a deal to develop the build-to-suit warehouse.

The building will be located adjacent to John Lewis’s existing 650,000 sq ft distribution centre at Magna Park, which Gazeley completed in August 2007.

The distribution centre is due for completion later this year with the John Lewis fit out taking place after.

Alex Verbeek, UK Country Director, Gazeley, said: “This deal further cements our relationship with one of the country’s leading retailers and we’re delighted to be working with John Lewis again as it looks to expand its distribution operations.

“The building has been designed to match the company’s specific requirements and with planning consent already in place, we are on track to deliver on time and on budget.

Magna Park Milton Keynes consists of 200 acres and is already home to the distribution centres of leading UK retailers, including John Lewis and River Island, and recently completed a new 265,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution facility for leading soft drinks manufacturer AG Barr in May 2013.
